Golden Gate University and Outlier.org are offering a full-tuition scholarship to one Degrees+ applicant or student based on merit, need, and how they best demonstrate persistence and commitment.
Who Is Eligible for the Scholarship
Current Degrees+ students, those who have already applied to Degrees+, and new students who apply to Degrees+ before July 31, 2023 are eligible to receive the Outlier.org x Golden Gate University Full Ride Scholarship.
All applicants are considered equally without regard to financial aid eligibility or status in the Degrees+ program.
Like the Degrees+ program itself, all US students age 13 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent (GED, CHSPE) are eligible to apply for the Outlier.org x Golden Gate University Full Ride Scholarship, except for residents of: Alabama, Arkansas, D.C., Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, US Commonwealths (Puerto Rico, Upper Mariana Islands), and US Territories (Guam, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands). We also welcome international students (with TOEFL or equivalent) to apply for the Full Ride Scholarship.
How To Apply
Applying is simple and only takes about 20 minutes. Opt in HERE to be considered for the scholarship, then submit your application to the Degrees+ program by July 31, 2023. No separate application, essay, or SAT/ACT score required. You must successfully submit the application, academic transcripts, and any supplemental documents required to be considered. Your participation in the scholarship is optional and does not impact your acceptance into the Degrees+ program.
How the Scholarship Is Distributed
Outlier and Golden Gate University will select 1 recipient based on their Degrees+ application; merit, need, and demonstrated persistence and commitment will be used to make the decision. Recipients will be notified via email by August 15, 2023.
The awardee will receive a scholarship funding the entirety of their Degrees+ tuition: a maximum of $8940. The recipient must be accepted into the Degrees+ program to receive the scholarship funding.
The scholarship amount will be deducted directly from the recipient’s GGU bursar account across all academic terms. If the recipient is a current Degrees+ student who has already begun the program or whose Degrees+ program tuition is lessened because of transferred credits, the scholarship will cover the remaining balance for the duration of the program.
