Associate of Arts in Business Administration
If you have an interest in starting your own business, or to be a part of one, the Business Administration degree will provide you with the foundational tools you need. In addition to developing professional communication skills and being exposed to key business concepts, you’ll learn about a range of functions of business from small business ownership to traditional and innovative ways to transform business theories into practices.
While working towards this degree, you will sharpen your reasoning skills by considering changes and challenges in the field, such as innovation and ethical or social issues. Associate of Science in Applied Computing
If you’re seeking the opportunity to make a shift in your career, or kickstart one, the Applied Computing degree will provide you with the information, practical skills, and credentials you’ll need to get your foot in the door for a variety of roles! In this degree track, you will gain a strong foundation in programming and will learn about key principles in mathematics and statistics.
Throughout the course of this degree program, you’ll develop relevant technical skills for upward mobility in your post-degree professional goals, such as self-directed learning in programming or data science. Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies
The Liberal Studies degree is an excellent option for those who are interested in a multitude of subjects and would like to transfer their Associate credits into a Bachelor’s degree down the line! As a student pursuing this degree, you will gain exposure to a wide array of disciplines such as economics, accounting, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
In this degree track, you will study major theories, practices, and applications, make interdisciplinary connections, and establish a respect for lifelong learning. You will also consider challenges in many fields including ethical and social considerations, and develop well-rounded critical thinking skills you will carry with you for the rest of your academic career.

As part of the degree program, you will complete an industry certificate (or two!) that is designed to prepare you for an entry-level position in a business or computer data-related role.

Students may opt-out of the opportunity to earn a career certificate by taking electives to fulfill degree credit requirements instead if they’d prefer.
Degree Requirements
The Associate of Arts in Business Administration and Associate of Science in Applied Computing degrees require the completion of 60 units: 24 units of core courses, 24 units required for the major, and 12 units of elective courses.
The Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies degree requires the completion of 60 units: 24 units of core courses and 36 units of elective courses. Each course listed is worth 4 units of credit, with few exceptions.
A cumulative grade-point average of 2.00 (“C” grade) or higher is required in all courses taken at Golden Gate University. Prerequisites to a course, if any, are listed in the course descriptions.
