Applying for GGU Degrees+ powered by Outlier

Our take? Applying to college should be exciting—not confusing! The application process for the Degrees+ program is a simple, streamlined series of questions that takes around 15-30 minutes to complete. No interviews required!

If you are accepted, you’ll receive instructions via email about how to sign up and create your account. After that, it’s all about exploring the platform and gearing up for your first day of class!

 

Eligibility

We welcome all students to apply! Whether you’re new to the college game, or you’ve fit in a few credits here and there—Degrees+ is for you. 


To be eligible for this program you must be at least 18 years old (by the first day of class) and have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED, CHSPE).

International students are also welcome to apply to this fully online program! 🌍💻
Please note that international students are not eligible for financial aid.

  • 📍A few quick notes on your location:

    Golden Gate University is not authorized to offer online courses to students residing in Alabama, Arkansas, D.C., Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, New Mexico, Rhode Island, or Wisconsin.

    We are also not able to offer admission to students logging in from US Commonwealths (Puerto Rico, Northern Marianas Islands) and Territories Guam, American Samoa, and US Virgin Islands) at this time.

Fees

There is a $40 processing fee for each application. Apply early to avoid the application fee!

Transfer credits

After completing your Associate degree with an average GPA of 2.5 or higher, you are guaranteed to be accepted and continue your education in any Bachelor's degree program at Golden Gate University.

 

Decision

Golden Gate University has a specific set of criteria that applicants must meet to be accepted in a degree program, including but not limited to:

  • Previous academic history
  • Previous professional experience
  • Other considerations such as statement(s) of purpose

Once your application has been reviewed and a decision has been made, you will be notified via email. 

If you are not offered admission into the program, you are welcome to reapply for the next term. 

If you are admitted into the program, you may accept the offer and begin working on your enrollment.

After you are accepted and confirm that you intend to attend, you will receive an email with the next steps. You will be asked to create an Outlier account, review your degree plan for the first semester, and you will gain access to the GGU portal for tuition and financial aid details.
