What type of degree is this?
We are excited to offer three high-quality, affordable, and completely online Associate degree pathways with the following concentrations:
What is the plus (+) for in "Degrees+"?
The "+" in Degrees+ means that in addition to an associate degree you'll walk away with an industry certificate showing that you have real-world experience applying the concepts you've learned in your courses.
Our degrees not only include courses taught online by some of the most celebrated educators in their respective fields, but also incorporate career certificates from top companies such as Google, IMB, Salesforce, Hubspot, Meta, and Intuit.
Where is the degree from?
Outlier is thrilled to partner with Golden Gate University to offer Degrees+ and continue the work of our company mission to increase access to quality college education and dramatically reduce student debt.
Golden Gate University will be incorporating Outlier’s materials into their courses, leveraging the same high-quality online learning experience we've built our reputation on into online classes led by instructors from one of California's oldest private universities!
GGU is accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission. Upon completion of your degree, you can expect a transcript and diploma issued directly from GGU.
How long does it take to complete?
We have thoughtfully designed Degrees+ to be a great educational opportunity for both full-time and part-time students.
A traditional Associate degree takes about two years to complete. If you intend to enroll in a Degrees+ pathway as a full-time student you can expect to graduate in about 20 months.
Do I get a diploma? What will my diploma say?
After successful completion of a Degrees+ pathway, you will receive a diploma from Golden Gate University. Your diploma will be similar to other diplomas in that it will specify your name and the concentration of your earned degree.
Are there any prerequisites for admission to the Degrees+ program?
There is no prerequisite coursework required to be eligible for admission into one of the Degrees+ programs, however, you will need to have earned your high school diploma or equivalent (GED or CHSPE).
Applicants must be 18 years of age by the first day of class.
